Help Brenda Fund her cancer treatments

This year in January my mom was diagnosed with advanced stage 3 ovarian cancer. She like any mother did her best to try and keep it as her own problem, but as anyone who has ever dealt with cancer as a patient or a family member knows that is impossible.

She has already undergone two separate treatments plans to get better. The first was a normal round of chemo, but the cancer kept growing. Then she was accepted into a clinical trial in hopes that would help, but the cancer grew. She is now facing a third course of treatment to stem the growth.

She has had surgery to remove some of the masses, but they were more plentiful than first thought. It has spread to other nearby parts of her body such as her liver, spleen, abdomen, and even her diaphragm. She travels every two weeks two hours away to Charleston for treatment.

Throughout all of this she has never complained. She has never asked for anything. Even when her children plead with her to let them help. She shoulders the burden time and again. Her insurance has only been able to do so much. Now she faces out of network doctor expenses as well as non covered services all in the hopes that something will work. She has been using her own savings even to fund her treatments. She loves her children and her family and has trouble relinquishing her role as caretaker to us all even now. She knows she can't deny our help, but wont go out of her way to ask us for anything.

That is why I am asking for help for her. I've been lucky enough to have her as my mom all these years, and I want to do everything I can to make sure my children, her grandchildren, get the same joys and opportunities to have her in their lives for however long we can make that happen.
