Help Brenda in her fight against cancer

Due to the nature of the disease, each woman diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer has a different profile and it is impossible to provide a general prognosis. It is a cancer that is difficult to detect, especially in the early stages.
My sister Brenda is one of these women. A busy woman, wife, and nurse who cares for others needs - physically, emotionally, and spiritually - was sent to the ER three years ago after most recently being discharged with the diagnosis of Diverticulitis. As symptoms persisted, she returned to the hospital only to find that she actually had a large mass creating pressure within her abdominal cavity - the diagnosis, Ovarian Cancer.
Brenda had surgery, then 6 months later a second surgery however the cancer advanced. Unfortunately, even medical professionals can miss these vague and silent signs of Ovarian Cancer. The large tumor was removed along with the ovaries, uterus, and omentum (the tissue holding the stomach and other abdominal organs). Even still, the disease progressed.
Most recently, Brenda's latest hospital visit included a hypertensive crisis. Regrettably, other tests could not be done due to the progression of cancer to her lungs and chest cavity.
Up until this point, Brenda had been able to go to work and manage her symptoms. However, now is different. She is unable to work and has been placed on hospice care. She and her husband Doug have been forced to sell personal items to make ends meet. During this difficult time, I am setting up a GoFundMe account to help my sweet sister and friend, to help ease some of the financial burden. My sister, who has been a nurse working for over 26 years as a hospital, hospice and pediatric nurse, now needs help. We understand that this time is a difficult time for many various losses due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, however, if you are able to give just a little, that would be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Ginny Stephens
