Help Brenda pay for her emergency medical bills
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rhondalyn, and my sister Brenda recently has been in the hospital for emergency life-saving medical procedures. At this point, she needs help to be able to afford her medical bills, including ongoing treatments and care.
Beautiful Brenda is happy, charismatic, and a delight to be around. She has an awesome loving husband and is a mother of four amazing children.
In October of 2023, Brenda went to Washington with some of her friends. While she was there, disaster struck. She had a major stroke and had to be rushed to the nearest hospital, which was not covered by her insurance. She didn't think anything was wrong, but the friends she was with thought something was going on with her and they were getting ready to call 911. During the height of her stroke, she passed out and hit her head on a countertop. After this, she was transported to the hospital. When she got to the hospital, she had to wait for quite a while before they called her in for a brain scan to diagnose that she was having a stroke. She was at this hospital for 2 days.
Since she lives in Utah with her family, as soon as she was able to, she left the hospital in Washington and flew home. After arriving in Utah, she was transported to the Murray Hospital. She was in the Murray Hospital for about 3 weeks before she could return home, with somebody staying with her and providing full-time care. This lasted for about 12 hours before disaster struck again.
Around 9 AM the morning after she was released, she had to take an emergency ambulance ride to the nearest hospital because she was having a major heart attack. As soon as she arrived at the hospital, she was immediately rushed in for emergency surgery. After she had some time to recover from the emergency surgery, the hospital did another surgery to add more stents to her heart. We later found out that this hospital wasn't covered by her insurance either.
After she was released, she again needed full-time care. She still has to go to medical appointments at least three times a week, for occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. She also has to regularly have ultrasounds for her heart.
Along with all of this, they just found out that their roof has been leaking, and partially collapsed during the last windstorm, affecting all three levels of their home. Brenda and her husband are currently trying to get their insurance company to pay for the roof, adding more stress to them.
If you are able to donate to help Brenda cover her medical bills, that would be greatly appreciated. Even if you aren't able to donate, I would appreciate it if you could share this GoFundMe and get the word out. Thanks for being willing to help.
