Help Brent Avoid Eviction and Homelessness

~UPDATED~
*Please read below to hear words directly from Bent*

I'm Connor, and my mom, Carole, came to me today with some news that hit me hard. She wants to help her dear friend Brent, who urgently needs support.

After years of hardship, he is facing eviction from his apartment and is on the verge of being forced onto the streets. My Mom would take him in without hesitation, but she lives across the country and is unable to provide direct support.

Brent has been her close friend for over 40 years, and he is genuinely one of the kindest, most selfless people she knows. He's the kind who would give you the shirt off his back and never ask for anything in return. Now, Brent needs our help to secure housing and get back on his feet.

Please consider donating to help Brent through this challenging time. No matter the size, every contribution will go a long way toward keeping him safe and sheltered. Together, we can show Brent the same generosity and kindness he's shown to so many over the years.

Thank you for being so supportive.

Brent - “This is really hard for me. SO hard. I have a high level of shame about this, and of course, I'm stubborn. It hurts so much to ask, but I need some help.

I've been working in the technology world since around 1986. After my last startup ended in 2019, I took a corporate job. I got laid off in August 2022 and haven't been able to find work in my field. I got two minimum wage jobs in March of this year, but they didn't really start until late May. At this point, I began to fall behind on rent. I'm trying to find a way to make ends meet, as the jobs I have (Elitch Gardens Theme Park and Coors Field) are ending this month. I've started to rent a car from Lyft to drive for them (sounds crazy, I know), and I'm currently looking for another job.

As of now, I'm being evicted and I need some help to try to get up to date with rent before my court date. I believe after that I should be able to handle monthly rent, but at least it will give me some breathing room to find work and decide if I need to get into a roommate situation instead."
