Help Brett get through his Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
Brett was hospitalized on Friday Nov 5th for High Blood Pressure, after many blood tests and ultra sounds, we found out that Brett is now in stage 5 kidney failure. It sounds scary and there are going to be hard days, but there is still hope. He started his first Dialysis treatment on Nov 7th and we understand that a Kidney Transplant will be necessary in the future as his kidney function has dropped to 4%.
Brett has been laid off for a while now when the plant he was working at relocated to Mexico, he had a severance package that has since expired, including his medical insurance.
For patients not covered by health insurance, a kidney transplant typically costs up to $260,000 or more when you include costs for the pre-transplant screening, donor matching tests, surgery, post-surgical care and the first six months of medication. Additionally, it costs about $17,000 a year for anti-rejection medication, and more when you factor in Brett’s blood pressure medication and insulin.
He is currently without insurance and the hospital bills are going to start piling up, as well as everyday living expenses. Please, if you feel moved to do so, please donate to help relieve the costs associated with his diagnosis and necessary treatment so that he can focus on improving his health.

Our Sincerest Thanks,
Brett’s Family
