***HELPING A VETERAN IN NEED!!***
Brian, a 69-year-old veteran who served our country, was visiting Lake Mead with his dog when he had a medical emergency. He passed out face first from a heat stroke. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw him and called 911. Brian was taken to the hospital, but his dog was taken by animal control to a local shelter and his car was towed as well. His friend posted what happened online and with the help from animal advocates sharing his story, we were able to get his dog back. We have since been able to retrieve his car from the towing company with all fees waived due to help from Councilwoman Victoria Seaman's office.
BUT, Brian still needs help. His belongings, including his wallet and cellphone, were stolen and his car was ransacked and in shambles! He has a cracked windshield, his back window doesn't roll up, and he has some warning lights that have come on. Also, he was on his way to secure new housing in a different state. Because of these unfortunate incidents happening and trying to get well over the past 1.5 months, it has really set him back financially. He's currently housed at the Salvation Army until we can raise enough funds to get him into his own apartment again. Any amount will help!! PLEASE HELP TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS!!! Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!!
