Support Brian’s Recovery: Together We Can Make a Difference

Donation protected
Brian has been a dedicated electrician for 22 years, pouring his heart into his work and striving to become a general foreman. However, everything changed in April 2022 when he began experiencing severe back pain that radiated down his right leg. This pain made it unsafe for him to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and even drive. Concerned for his safety and that of his crew, Brian made the difficult decision to take medical leave to seek treatment.

What followed has been a grueling and discouraging 2.5-year journey through the medical and insurance system. After more than a year of treatment, Brian’s L&I claim was denied, leaving him without the support he desperately needed. Although his doctor recommended laminectomy surgery, the procedure provided no relief, and he was told he must learn to live with the pain.

Living with chronic pain has drastically changed Brian’s life. He can no longer stand for more than 15 minutes, sit for extended periods, or drive beyond short distances. This has meant missing out on important moments in his children’s lives, including his daughter’s dance recitals and his son’s lacrosse tournaments. Brian longs for the simple joys of taking walks with his wife, Amber, and their dog, Tucker.

In the face of this struggle, the family has endured significant financial hardship. They were forced to sell their home and move cross-country to find more affordable housing, all in an effort to keep their family together. Brian has openly struggled with not being able to provide for his family, and although Amber has returned to work, they are barely making ends meet. They simply cannot cover the costs of the necessary back surgery, physical therapy, and potential in-home care while Amber works and the kids are at school.

The silver lining is that since their move, Brian has consulted with multiple doctors who agree that he urgently needs surgery and are optimistic about the outcome. With your help, we can make this surgery a reality.

We are reaching out to you, our community, to help Brian and Amber cover the costs of the surgery and recovery that insurance won’t pay for. Any amount you can contribute will make a significant difference. Your generosity could help Brian regain his life, allowing him to participate in family milestones, like attending his oldest son and daughter’s graduation this spring.

Thank you for your support and for helping Brian, Amber, and their four wonderful children during this challenging time. May God bless you for your kindness.
