Help Brian Endicott and Family Through Cancer Battle

Donation protected
On November 13th, one day before my dad's 58th birthday, he was diagnosed with advanced stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. It's extremely aggressive and has caused a lot of severe damage.

The diagnosis was soul crushing. Dad is the strongest, most clever, wisest person I've ever met. He’s larger than life to us. This brilliantly creative, incredibly compassionate, loyal to a fault, pillar in our lives. Our foundation rock. The glue that holds us together. His morals are stone. The love he has for his family is unshakeable. Even when he's in severe pain, he's thinking of us, and how we're doing. He's always done his best for us. When life has thrown us seemingly irreparable situations, he's found a way. He's instilled in us the faith that everything happens for a reason and everything must have a solution.

Endicott's Repair is his life's work. He's dedicated his knowledge and compassion to help people whose lives have been upended because their necessary appliances have failed. Desperate families who couldn't cook because their oven failed, or couldn't keep fresh food in a malfunctioning refrigerator, couldn't clean they're clothing because their laundry machines wouldn't function, or even people with gas ranges that were suffering from the effects of a gas leak. He's helped our community for decades with such professionalism and kindness.

Dad has been sturdy and steady, a giant oak in the face of hardships. We love him with every fiber of our being. Losing him like this is unimaginable.

Knowing now why he's been so sick periodically since I was a small child, why he was so afraid of going to the doctor, it's shaken each of us. It’s forced our lives into this new normal that is extremely unstable. Made us sit down and reconsider our life choices. But we have to have faith that there is a reason and a solution for it. We just have to find it.

The only solace we have is that he's receiving treatment for it at UNC. Unc is one of the best hospitals for cancer treatment on the south east coast. They won't give him a number, and he doesn’t want one, but they are doing everything medically possible for him.

We know how this is going to end, eventually. But we'll do everything possible for him until then. He's promised to fight this, and we have to help him do it.

My parents are still reeling from this. We all are to some degree. It's a lot to deal with without him and neither of them need to focus on finances now.

They've given their finances and responsibilities to me to handle while this is happening, but I don't make enough each month to financially support them and this family alone.

We need to raise money for bills, groceries, medications, and healthcare supplies that aren't covered by his insurance. I'm in the process of reaching out to other organizations and charities that may be able to help, but there's no guarantee how long they'll be able to help. I will secure stable income for them now that they can't work, but that will take time to set up.

Time is not a luxury we have anymore.

It's become apparent that this is not something we can handle alone. We need help and support.

Please, even if it's only 5 dollars, every penny counts. I know times are hard right now, especially heading into the holidays, anything you could do at all would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you for reading this and helping if you are able. Please pray for my dad and family if you can and share this around.
