Help Brian Fight Glioblastoma
Donation protected
As you all know, it’s been a struggle for the past 18 months for Brian, Oliver and I coping with Brian’s diagnosis of Grade 4 Glioblastoma (brain cancer). It's very humbling for me to have to ask for help and be “real” when everything inside you is holding onto hope and trying to focus on positivity. We honestly could not have gotten through to this point without the kindness, love and support of family, friends and strangers.
The sad truth is that Brian is bedridden and unable to care for himself, even in the most basic manner. The goal is for Oliver to have his dad at home, so he can spend the most amount of time with him, which he has been able to do the past couple of weeks. This costs A LOT in terms of emotional, physical and financial resources, all of which have been exhausted at this point. There has been no improvement in Brian’s mobility, vision, and cognitive processing. The costs of equipment and supplies together with loss of income and mounting medical bills are hitting hard. Home health care is the reasonable solution to keeping him home and cared for the way he requires and deserves. To be honest, I need help. I hate that I need help, but I do. It's physically exhausting and I don’t have the money to pay for any more help than what I am getting now.
We understand everyone has their own situations to deal with, and if all you can do is pray, that means the world to us.
Thank you just doesn’t even begin to cover how appreciative and thankful we are for each of you and the love you have shown over the past year and a half.
