Help Brian Stevens Recover & Save Company B BBQ
Donation protected
We are Brian’s loving friends and family, and we’re organizing this fundraiser to support a man who has spent his life giving to others. Brian Stevens—the heart and soul behind Company B BBQ in Byrnes Mill and the dedicated President of Open Door Animal Sanctuary’s Board of Directors—needs our help.
On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Brian suffered a severe heart attack while at work. His coworkers rushed him to the hospital, but due to the severity—multiple blood clots, blockages, and significant heart damage—he was transferred to St. Louis University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
A Life of Giving, Now in Need of Support
If you know Brian, you know his kindness, generosity and dedication to his community. He puts in 14-hour days at Company B BBQ, all while volunteering 20+ hours each month as the President of Open Door Animal Sanctuary’s Board of Directors. Over the years, he has rescued and adopted kittens, helped feed feral cats, and donated his famous BBQ to countless fundraisers, including:
• Annual BBQ Dinner Party for 40 people at Open Door Animal Sanctuary’s Paws to Party live auction. This has been a favorite among donors for years.
• Special Olympics Fundraiser in House Springs, where he provides food to support the event and only asked for donations that go directly to the Special Olympics.
• Shop With A Hero – Brian generously provides the dinner for the Byrnes Mill Police Department’s holiday event.
• Affordable, high-quality BBQ for the community, ensuring that everyone, regardless of income, can enjoy a great meal.
This February marked 19 years of Company B BBQ, and as many in the restaurant industry know, profit margins are slim. Like many small business owners, Brian has gone without health insurance for years. Now, facing mounting medical bills and an uncertain future, he needs our help.
A Long Road to Recovery
Even once Brian is stable, his recovery will take months, including extensive physical therapy. The financial burden will continue long after his hospital stay, making it even more critical that we rally together to support him.
How You Can Help
Brian’s hospital stay is growing longer, and each day brings more medical expenses that threaten to bankrupt him and put his beloved restaurant at risk. As the main producer at Company B BBQ, he starts his days at 4 a.m., smoking the BBQ himself. Without him, the future of his business is uncertain.
We are asking the community that Brian has given so much to—his friends, loyal customers, fellow animal lovers and neighbors—to come together and support him in his time of need.
Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward Brian’s medical bills.
If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser. Spreading the word can make all the difference.
Let’s rally behind Brian, just as he has always done for us. Thank you for your love, prayers and support.
