Help Brian with his medical bills and recover
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maria and I'm fundraising for my husband Brian McClellan, he is 61 years old, he is a very kind and helpful man, he is a builder/contractor and all his life he has been self employed.
On August 15, a neighbor asked him for help to cut a tree that was about to fall over his house, unfortunately doing that, Brian fell approximately 40 feet high, broke 9 ribs and had three fissures in his pelvis, we know it is a God's miracle that he is alive. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital, we live in the countryside, for which the hospital did not have the necessary implements to treat him, and due to the seriousness of his condition he had to be transferred by helicopter to a hospital that could give him the necessary services. His ribs were reconstructed in titanium and the necessary therapies were performed. Thank God he made a speedy recovery.
But then on October 17 we were building an extra room in the house to bring my mother-in-law to live with us, she is 94 years old and fell one day after Brian's accident and broke her hip too. Unfortunately during this construction Brian had a second fall in which the femur of his right leg broke, we again had to go through surgery, therapies which could not be performed due to financial reasons, and a slow recovery. He was transferred to the same hospital as the first accident, in the city, so we had to go live for a while at a relative's home while he was treated and was in better conditions to return home.
When we got home again after all this situation, we found that thieves broke into the house and stole absolutely all of his work tools, as well as the majority of his personal items; the total robbery was valued to be around $90,000.
As a result of all this situation, he lost all the work contracts he had, I have had to take care of him from the first accident until now, for which I have not been able to work either.
Medical bills (surgeries, anesthesia, medications, therapies, and transportation) of the two accidents total approximately $ 280,000 including the self-employed discount and for this reason we find ourselves in the need to turn to the good hearts of the people reading our history.
Below I am adding some pictures, evidence of part of the medical bill, helicopter, and robbery.
Tank you for your support and God bless your big heart.
