Help Brianna Attend Summer Medical Program

Hello! My name is Brianna Sadler. I am 16 years old and currently a junior at Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, Ohio. For the past 4 years of my life I have been working extremely hard to achieve my career goal of becoming a pediatrician. I absolutely adore children and hope to be able to work with and help them on a daily basis. This past year, I was accepted into a 2 year medical technology program at my high school, which has been a great opportunity so far. As a high school student, I have also taken several college courses already through Lorain County Community College and am on schedule to graduate with my Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Science degree, and a High School Honors Diploma.
This week, I was exclusively invited to participate in an out-of-state (Atlanta, Georgia) summer medical program where I will get hands-on experiences, opportunities to meet and speak with doctors and professors from top rated universities and hospitals across the country, and the opportunity to work with other high school students who have the same career interest as me. As soon as I got this invitation, I began reading all about the program and immediately knew this was a great opportunity that I didn't want to miss. Unfortunately, it came with a hefty price - an amount that I knew my parents could not afford, and one that my part time job would not cover either. The fee for this summer program is $3,800, which does not cover transportation (airfare), but is all inclusive of meals, on campus housing (I will get a real-life college experience of staying in a dorm at Emory University), 9 days of hands-on experiences and valuable insight to help me succeed in my future medical studies and career.
I plan to start saving for this program now, as the first payment is due February 12, 2021, in hopes that I can make this opportunity happen. My eight hour per week paycheck will not cover the total cost, which is why I ask you to help me and my family with any amount possible. Attending this summer program is a step to achieving bigger dreams that await me after I graduate high school, and something I truly want the opportunity to do.
