Help Brian's Family During Medical Crisis
Donation protected
I want to start off by expressing my deepest gratitude to all of you who took the time to send positive thoughts and well wishes for my husband Brian after hearing about his life threatening medical emergency this past week. It meant the world to both of us.
For those of you who haven't heard, my husband Brian was rushed to the hospital this past Tuesday in the midst of an episode of Septic Shock. He was experiencing all the symptoms and at the time we had no idea what was wrong with him. We found out after they started treating him in the ER and then in ICU that had we not called 911 when we did he probably wouldn't have made it through the night. The thought of that is something I can't even deal with.
But by the grace of God the doctors and nurses were able to treat him and stabilize his condition. They weren't sure if any of his vital organs had been damaged and so they kept him there all week monitoring him while he received numerous treatments which included antibiotics through IV to treat the infection in his kidneys. They also worked on getting his blood pressure up which was dangerously low when he arrived at the hospital.
On Saturday the performed an angiogram which is a procedure to go in with tiny cameras and check his heart and make sure there was no damage. While in there they found 2 blocked arteries and had to put 2 stints in to keep those arteries open. This past week has been an emotional roller coaster to say the least. I've never been so scared. Possibly losing my husband and sole mate of the past 31 years is not something I was prepared for.
We got him home today and he is resting comfortably but his recovery will take some time. Needless to say he has been unable to work this past week and probably the next week or two coming up. Without him being able to work means we have no income coming in whatsoever. Unfortunately he has a job where if he doesn't work he doesn't get paid and like so many other people living paycheck to paycheck, we depend on his income each week to pay our bills and take care of our daily and weekly necessities.
I'm hopeful he will make a complete recovery and be able to get back to work but it's being able to get through the next couple of weeks that has got me terrified. We have no savings and no other means to take care of things like food, gas, a couple of bills, and feed our 5 fur babies.
That is why I have turned to opening a GO FUNDME account in hopes that the generosity of people we know might find it in their hearts to donate whatever they could to help us get through this most unexpected and difficult time. Any little bit would help and would be much appreciated. I really hate to have to ask for such help but I'm at a loss and really don't know where else to turn. Also, if you could possibly share my story with anyone you know who might be willing to help I would be forever grateful. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
