Help bring a momma back to her sons and family TBI

Hi, my name is Autumn. I am making this go fund me for my Auntie Marcie on behalf of our entire family. Marcie’s parents, sons, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Marcies parents ( Murray and Judy) received a call no parent wants to receive. On August 31st Marcie took a tragic fall in her home in Kamloops BC.
She was found unconscious and in a coma with massive swelling to her head.
She was rushed to Royal inland Hospital in Kamloops BC. She arrived to the hospital with the lowest neurological score possible in a coma.
Her fall resulted in a large subdural bleed on the right side of her brain and numerous subarachnoid bleeds (clots) deeper in her brain.
Marcie required emergency life saving neurosurgery. A craniotomy was performed .
Marcie survived her 1 st surgery!!
We were all very scared and hopeful….and thinking it was time for healing. But…. Then…
Another call was received at 2am that Marcies brain was now hemorrhaging in a completely different area of her brain. This time the pressure was extreme and her brain started to herniate…she was on the brink of life and death.
She was rushed into a second life saving surgery the neurosurgeon needed to remove a part of her skull (craniectomy) to allow room for swelling.
Within 12 hours of admission- Marcie received two life saving surgeries and survived both.
Since her last surgery we have seen progress in her responses. She is able to move her legs and fingers to some direction. Although they are going to keep her in an induced coma for swelling to dissipate.
We are so hopeful she is on the beginning path on the road to recovery. Although it’s too early to tell what the extent of her neurological and physical deficits will be, we are told that she will have deficits.
We are just very great-full that she has survived thus far and that our Marcie is a fighter.
One of the hardest parts of this journey was being unsure if she would make it home to her family but in particular make it home to her two sons.
Marcie is a single mom to two teen boys. (14&17)
They are the light of her life ❤️. The love she has for her boys and for being a mom radiates off her. She has made a beautiful home for her and her sons, everything she does she does for them to support them and to give them a life full of love.
As a single parent supporting and raising two children on her own, unable to provide at this time, any bit of help means so much.
With your support - donations will go directly to Marcie and her boys. This will include any living expenses and the costs that accumulate with ongoing therapies, medical expenses, equipment, and changes to life and living once she gets out of hospital.
Marcie did not have a POA arranged.
This has made things complicated. In agreement with the family- Marcie’s younger sister- Michelle Baxter will receive the funds and the family together will delegate where those funds are needed and to be spent.
The Foley family of Kamloops , the whole bunch, are asking those who know and love Marcie to help out in whatever way you can.
Either by donating or sharing this story, or keeping her in your prayers, to help support Marcie and her sons in this long recovery ahead.
We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know that she will not be able to provide as she did for her boys for an unknown period of time and the costs of life for her family will continue to grow as time goes on.
Through all this uncertainty we are putting all our love, energy and prayers into Marcie and this long fight for her life.
❤️Our dear Marcie, We just want to see your contagious smile and feel the love of your generous heart.
We love you, our sister, daughter, mother, auntie, and friend! Fight like hell, we are all by your side cheering you on ❤️
