Help Bring Alice Mary Home

On Monday April 8th, 2024 our mother Alice Mary Thurber died unexpectedly at the age of 61. She was a strong woman who overcame so much in her short life but never stopped smiling and making everyone around her laugh.

Alice Mary lived for being a mother and grandmother. She was the most supportive and thoughtful person. She died two days before the 27 year anniversary of our father’s death.

We are seeking help in fulfilling her final wish of being buried with our father in the city they met when she was 16. There will be substantial costs involved in transporting her from North Carolina to California as well as the costs of burial. Anything helps and is much appreciated.

Funds will be used for the cost of the funeral home expenses in North Carolina and California, transportation costs, and about 22k for burial and the burial place.
