Help bring Brady back to the BFF

What do you do when your turkey doesn’t come home? Yes- that exact thought went through my head....all jokes aside, my family is so blessed to have such an amazing group of people supporting our beloved pet. When Brady went missing- all I could ask for was answers...and quite honestly- I expected to be ridiculed....who cares about a turkey?! Well...WE DO! Instead of being made fun of- we received so much love and support...we made new friends throughout our community- and we feel as though our family has grown....if you’ve “missed” updates- check out “My Name is Lentil” and “Mount Laurel Animal Hospital” for updates.
Thanks to a kind neighbor (that I feel like I can never hug enough)...a call came through that Brady was found. He wasn’t in good shape. In the 3 days he was out in the “Medford wilderness”, nature wasn’t kind to him.
Brady is now with us once again, and under the loving care of Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. His prognosis is still guarded....but this bird is a fighter! We have a long road ahead.....and now, because of the extent of his injuries- on top of medical costs (which MLAH has generously offered their help to offset some costs)- Our life on the farm will drastically change.
We need to build a new “home” for him to keep him safe at night, since he will no longer be able to do the things he did before. We are ready to overcome any obstacle we need to for our boy....he deserves it.
With your help- we can make this happen. So many of you have reached out with how to help- so here is a way to do so.
Our mission on the BFF (Bean Family Farm) is to raise awareness and provide a safe place for children with craniofacial differences to be themselves. Brady deserves that same respect. He was the “show off” of our farm....sometimes even being more of a character than Lentil! And now- although life will be different- we all know “different” is good....so we are counting the days until our #PerfectlyImperfect turkey comes home....to a different life- where the love hasn’t changed.
We are estimating that Brady's medical expenses and farm accommodations will amount to over $20,000. Should the donations received exceed these expenses, the balance will be donated to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital's 501c3 charity The EMPATH Project which
About EMPATH: Every year across the nation, thousands of pets are euthanized because they have suffered an accident, injury or illness requiring costly emergency care. THE EMPATH PROJECT seeks to alleviate this heartbreaking decision by aiding pet owners to help offset the financial burden of emergency care when the pet has a favorable outcome.
THE EMPATH PROJECT is based on the belief that the place of loving, cherished animals in families should never be threatened by concerns over the cost of unforeseen veterinary care. With the help of this project, eligible pet owners can gain access to a charitable gift that will help them cope with the unexpected financial burden associated with their pet’s care at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital.
