Help bring Chopper home!

Donation protected
This is Chopper.

**UPDATE** We are eternally grateful for all the wonderful and incredibly generous donations from so many people towards Chopper's bills to bring him home in one piece. I have raised his target as Chopper is having another big surgery to fuse his knee joint in his back right leg to stabilise it. The suture we so hoped would work failed last week and fusing his leg in a permanent position is the only remaining option. The estimate for this surgery is £3,500 on top of the 13k already spent. I'm doing a last push of his fundraiser to help towards the ever increasing costs and aftercare. I really hope people will understand xxx

He was savagely mauled by a dog on Monday in an unprovoked attack. He is a much-loved member of our Long Ditton community, known by many as he soaks up strokes from passers-by. He plays with children, hops into people's cars and brings smiles to everyone's faces.

The incredible vets worked day and night to get him stable after sustaining such horrific injuries. Being the absolute superstar that he is, he pulled through against all the odds to fight another day. He was transferred to an intensive care unit who fought to save his legs, but he is now in need of super specialist care. All four of his legs are heavily bandaged with deep wounds - two are badly broken.

Choppers been referred to the top orthopaedic surgeons at Fitzpatrick's to pin his ulna and radius back together at the elbow, so he has the chance to jump and run freely once again.

There is an incredibly long and treacherous journey ahead to get Chopper better. Hes fought so unbelievably hard and now we need to provide him with the best possible care.

The dog that caused these extensive injuries has done this before. Not one, but three times. Two cats didn't make it. This ends here. No more cats can suffer through this again.

This was a difficult decision to make, but due to the complex and unfortunate circumstances of Chopper's injuries, we are left with little choice but to ask for some support to get him into the hands of these key surgeons, who are the only ones who can now help. The level of bills are running into tens of thousands, the specialist surgery alone is estimated at 6k.

Anything you can do to get Choppy back where he belongs, bringing joy to everyone around him is appreciated more than you can ever imagine.

Thank you so much
