Help Bring Cortney Home

I never imagined I would be creating one of these, but here I am. On behalf of my family, we humbly ask for your help in ensuring my sister is brought home and paid the love and respect she deserves.

We learned yesterday afternoon that Cortney passed away on January 9th in South Carolina after a 20(or so) year long battle with addiction. We don't yet know her exact cause of death or any other specific details, only that she's gone and we need to bring her home.

She struggled a lot in school with her self worth and inevitably made choices that led to a long life of battling demons. Though she didn't believe it most times, she was always loved and thought of. We just couldn't find a way to save her from herself.

She has 3 kids who love her very much and now face a lifetime of missing their Mom. Though she hadn't been around in a few years, there was still the standing hope that she'd one day come back and get better.

Cortney didn’t even have proper identification, much less insurance or any type of income/savings. She likely just had some clothes and minimal personal items, we won't know until we're able to retrieve it all. I don't ever ask for help and I don't want to now, but I'm asking as the last way I can help my sister. If you're able to, please assist us in treating her better in death than she was able to treat herself in life. Thank you for all your messages and kind words, we see each and every one.
