Help Bring Damian Home: A Fight for Recovery

Damian Clouden is a beloved New York-based carpenter who originally hails from Carriacou, Grenada. After Category 4 Hurricane Beryl devastated his homeland of Carriacou on July 1, 2024, nearly every resident lost their home, including Damian’s family. Homes were reduced to rubble, schools were destroyed, and many of our island's residents found themselves homeless. Determined to help, Damian traveled back to Carriacou on July 23 to assist in rebuilding efforts, restoring WiFi to the village, and repairing damaged buildings.

Tragically, while working in Carriacou, Damian fell from the roof of a two-story building due to a faulty board, suffering a fractured skull and traumatic brain injuries. Now hospitalized in Grenada, he requires specialized treatment that is unavailable locally. Doctors advise he cannot fly commercially, and a medical evacuation to New York is extremely costly.

Damian is a devoted father to three young children—an 11-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 9-month-old—who are waiting for him to return home. We urgently need your support to help alleviate the costs of his evacuation and extensive medical care.
