Help Bring David E. Inegbenehi Home

Blessings everyone! My name is Janele, mother of David’s son Kaiden Inegbenehi, and his former wife. This is a Celebration of life for David E. Inegbenehi!

Dear friends & family, I regretfully inform you about the passing of beloved David.

Our beloved David traveled to Nigeria on October 23, 2024, for vacation and died unexpectedly on October 25, 2024. David was a wonderful brother, father and friend, who touched the lives of those around. David dedicated his life to his three sons, who he loved dearly.

“D”as some of us called him, was a jokester, a confidant and mentor. He was someone you could talk to without judgement and always gave great advice. David was loved by many and will be missed by many.

He leaves behind his three sons Jaehlan, Kaiden, Josiah; including his youngest sister Dr. Martina and other sibling.

David was literally counting down the days for his trip to visit family in Nigeria. A few of us spoke to him a few days leading up to his trip and had no idea it would be the last time we would see, or talk to him. The cause of death is still to be determined, pending autopsy.

We are absolutely devastated by David’s passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of bringing his body back to America for his burial. His family is also asking for help to cover costs to keep his body in the morgue for the duration.

We want to give David the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory, give his boys closure and say our last goodbyes.

David was a patriot who dedicated his life in service of the nation in uniform as a service member of two military branches. He served this great nation on active duty in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army, then as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve and U.S. Army National Guard.

For over a decade, David secured the nation from many threats as a Department of Homeland Security federal civil servant.

I’ve started a fundraiser to collect $30,000 in donations for David’s funeral service and end of life costs.

Please help us lay David to rest in the U.S.A, where he dedicated over 20 year of his life defending this nation. We are very grateful for every donation during this difficult time. Thank you!
