Help Bring Direct Relief to Tigray Families

I write to you with a heavy heart, as my homeland, Tigray, in northern Ethiopia, is facing a genocide of harrowing proportions. Millions of our people have been murdered, displaced, abused and left with nowhere to turn. Families are torn apart, children are orphaned, and the elderly and disabled are abandoned. Those who survive are often forced to walk miles, with no food, clean water, or safe shelter.

Tigray is not being covered by national media for many reasons, main being that they are in a region where internet access is a barrier due to being located in a very mountainous-terrain area. Another simply being that people are allowing their political views to justify the millions being harmed. Which is why sharing and talking about it often is truly vital.

Our community, some being members at Debre-Genet St. Mary Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Minnesota, have been providing urgent relief to those suffering in Tigray for over 3 years. We are working with Aba Selama, a trusted individual on the ground in Tigray who ensures that every donation directly reaches those in desperate need. Aba Selama provides detailed receipts and proof of delivery via WhatsApp, assuring us that every dollar is spent on saving lives. He distributes essential supplies like clothes, food, water and other direct resources to help Tigrayan families survive this unimaginable crisis.
