Help Bring Earl's Ashes Home

On Thursday, January 11th of this year, we lost my step-father, Earl Howard.

This campaign if for one simple goal, to pay for his cremation in a timely fashion, as the funeral home is going to charge us $25 a day for every day they have to house his body after this coming Tuesday. The entire bill, as of this moment, is $2020, however, we're only concerned with this initial, upfront payment, both to keep the further costs down, but also because we're not favorable to him sitting in a freezer for an extended period of time.

Earl wasn't a rich man by any means, and 95% of what he made in his life over the last 20+ years went to raise us kids, kids that weren't biologically his, and keep us and our mother housed and fed, so he's unfortunately never had enough to put back for such a thing and the conversation of life insurance came way too late.

At this time, the only member of his family who has agreed to help is his sister, and members of our side of the family will be donating to this campaign, but none of us have much, so we humbly come to you. As for the other half, I will be covering it with my income tax and a loan, if I can pull it off, with help from my ex, of all people.

Earl gave so much more to us than he ever received. He was a goofy, fun loving guy, who absolutely loved his grandchildren, and sadly didn't get to feed that side of himself in the last couple years of his life due to his health. He didn't get to attend many holidays. He didn't get to play with his grandchildren. He didn't get to see his chosen son's passion project. He got to lay in a bed. The absolute least he deserves is to be cremated and have his ashes spread at his parents gravesite, like he requested. So, with humility, I ask for your help in making that happen.
