Help GRACE Reach Its European Premiere!
Hi friends and supporters!
I’m Natalie Jasmine Harris, the director of GRACE, an award-winning short film that had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. I’m beyond thrilled to share that GRACE has been selected for a prestigious international film festival (to be announced soon), marking our European premiere!
This is a huge milestone for me and the entire GRACE team. It’s an opportunity to showcase our film to new audiences, connect with fellow filmmakers, and continue sharing our mission of telling authentic, uplifting stories centering Black and queer experiences.
But we need your help to make it happen. To attend this festival, we’re raising funds to cover our flight costs and accommodations (we’re aiming for an Airbnb to keep costs down!). Your support will help us ensure that our small but mighty team can be there to represent the film and take part in this incredible opportunity.
Any contribution—no matter how small—will make a huge difference in helping us get to Europe and continue sharing GRACE with the world!
About GRACE:
GRACE is a short film that celebrates liberation, self-discovery, and joy. It follows a young Black girl’s coming-of-age journey as she navigates faith, freedom, and finding her voice in a deeply personal and moving way. The film has already been honored with awards, and we’re excited for the chance to take it even further with this European premiere!

About the Director:
My name is Natalie Jasmine Harris, and I’m a Black queer filmmaker from Maryland with a passion for reimagining liberation and capturing coming-of-age stories for marginalized communities through my films. My previous short film, PURE, was acquired by HBOMax and has received multiple accolades, including The Directors Guild of America's Student Film Award. I’m currently developing a feature-length version of PURE, which has received support from SFFILM, The Gotham, Outfest, and Sundance. I am currently a 2024/2025 Sundance Ignite Fellow and have participated in other artist programs or fellowships with Film at Lincoln Center, GLAAD, SFFILM, and Outfest. My work has been featured in publications that include Teen Vogue, THEM Magazine, Huffington Post, The Cut, Baltimore Sun, NBC, and more.
Thank you so much for your time, support, and generosity. We can’t wait to take GRACE to the world stage, and we’re incredibly grateful for your help in getting us there.
With gratitude,
Natalie Jasmine Harris & the GRACE Team
