Help bring home Cherie's Gargoyle!
Donation protected
Ohai! My name is Sara Storkson, and I am creating this GoFundMe for my sister Cherie Simone.
Back in 2003, her dad carved a gargoyle out of Pinetree trunks! This one-of-a-kind piece of art is priceless to her. Unfortunately, in 2014 it was stolen when her house was burglarized, and it hadn't been seen since. Fast forward to February 6th, 2022, I found it through a group on Facebook, "Weird (and wonderful) Secondhand Finds That Just Need to Be Shared!!" It was at the Almeda Antique Flea Market in California. I sent a screenshot to my sister, and she immediately knew it was hers. I proceeded to comment, and from there, it blew up. I appreciate all of the support everyone has given us! I contacted the flea market and the original poster and learned about the gargoyle's current owners, and they reached out to me to say they are willing to give it back; however, there are expenses. The owners kindly agreed to drive the gargoyle down to the San Fernando Valley, a 3-hour drive and 200 miles to its original home if we can fund this campaign. To bring the gargoyle home, we need the funds by next month!
Thank you all for your continued support. I will continue posting updates as I get new information.
