Help Bring Jose Jaimes Back Home

On the morning of March 5, 2025 our lives changed completely when we found out through social media that our father, Jose Guadalupe Jaimes had been detained by ICE agents after dropping off our brother, Santiago off at Arthur Middle school. Immediately we panicked because Santiago had been dropped off around 8am & it was past 10:30 in the morning when we all found out about his arrest. Right after the news came out friends & family who knew my dad started calling about him. We were all so confused about why he was arrested because anyone who knows my dad knows that he is good man, friend, father, grandpa & painter. My father fought for years to receive his legal documentations after crossing the border illegally over 30 years ago, unfortunately all he was able to receive was his work permit & drivers license to be able to stay in the US. I still remember being younger & testifying in court, crying in front of a judge with my siblings explaining why my dad needed to stay with us. He is our only income & is responsible for supporting our little brother Santiago who has autism. He does taxes every year & has a successful painting company that he has built.
We are starting this GoFund me to cover any legal fees for his attorney & help financially support his 5 children and 2 grandchildren while we work on getting him back home. Anything is appreciated.
