For those of you that didn’t know my uncle Joseph Albreo Dutra was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer in November 2020. At that time it was inoperable due to it being to close to major organs. He tried chemotherapy and radiation. When that didn’t work he opted to try a trial in Boston. December 6th we found out that the trial did not help, the cancer spread and his existing tumors were larger. With that being said he was given the options of trying chemo only to be sick from it again or do hospice. On December 15th we signed with hospice to make is remanding days comfortable. He was not ready to let go yet. Right up to the end he fought and was making jokes. On December 21st with tears coming down his face he was taken home to be reunited with his family. Through out all this on the days he could, he would try to work. He did not have life insurance leaving us in this unfortunate circumstance. At this time we are looking for any donations to help give my uncle the proper funeral service that he deserves during this Christmas season. Thank you in advance.
