My name is Shae Whitefield. I am the baby of 4 kids who all we had was each other. I am asking anyone who can spare, even if it's just a dollar, to help us bring our brother, Joseph "Joey" Ryan Whitefield, home to be laid to rest. He is currently in New York and needs to be brought back to Oliver Springs, TN. If you would rather help by making a donation directly to Jackson Funeral Home, please do so. Joey loved everyone and had one of the kindest hearts alive. I hate to ask for help laying him to rest! He was suddenly taken away from us on 9/3/24. He would have been celebrating his 38th birthday on 10/30. Everyone who knew my brother has a story of laughter and love in it. Please help us bring his last wish true and get him back home to TN and laid to rest at Oliver Springs Cemetery where he will be close to his family again . I know Joey suffered from his own vices, but he was doing so well and making amazing progress. His death was not due to his actions, but regardless, he is still one of God's children who went to Him before we were prepared. If you get anything from this, please, no matter what, let the ones you love know it every time you speak to them and please prepare for the day the good Lord calls you home. I would not wish this on anyone. I don't know what a GoFundMe should say. I am just speaking my heart and my feelings right now and trying to inform anyone who is moved to help the way they can. Plz everyone we have until Friday morning to pay for everything we have came up with the majority of the money, but to be able to bring someone back that far has put and extra 3200 dollars on a normal funeral and burial. We have cut cost where we could but something’s you have to pay for. Plz look into your heart and remember this God tells us to help Thy neighbor’s this would be and understatement of a blessing you would be doing for our family so please let’s rally together and get this final 3000 left by Friday so Joey can be laid to rest on Saturday!!!!
