Help bring Judi Home

Hello,

My name is Marguerite. I am a sophomore at Nashoba Tech in Westford Massachusetts. On October 19th, 2023 my mom was driving me to school for my homecoming dance. Also in the car were my 2 sisters and our dog. We had just taken a left off of Boston Road onto Route 110 E when a pickup truck pulled out of the Whole Foods parking lot and stopped completely perpendicular to our car. My mom had less than 5 feet to stop. Nothing could have prevented the impact. The truck in front of us was completely stopped. Luckily, we were not going very fast; only about 17 mph. Every airbag in the minivan went off, it was terrifying. Many people stopped to help us, and for that, we will be forever grateful. My sisters and I were super shaken up and a little sore. Our dog, Sasha, did not take it so well and passed away a few days later. My mom was severely injured and spent time in the ICU, PCU, a regular hospital room, and later on an acute care rehab facility. In order for her to come home, we need some renovations to our house. I am not sure exactly what needs to be done, but I know we need to change the kitchen, take out the bathtub, put in a walk-in shower, and make an area for her to have a bedroom on the first floor. My family needs to all be together, and we need Mom in a safe space where she can have some independence.
