Help bring justice to all the dogs harmed by Kippen Cares

Hi, my name is Cassandra and I am raising money to help bring justice to my beautiful girl, Sammy (Samantha). Sammy lost her life tragically in the care of Jessica Kippen of Kippen Cares.
Sammy was rescued from a meat market in China and I welcomed her into my home in October of 2022. She was believed to be a Samoyed/Malamute mix. If you knew her, you knew she was loud and not afraid to tell you how she felt, but continued to be very hesitant of new people. I can only imagine the incredibly tough life she had before she was brought to Canada, so it was my promise to her that I would spoil her and make sure she was well taken care of for the rest of her life.
She was best friends with her brother, Ralph, who was also a rescue dog - he is a stray from Belize. They were inseparable. Ralph taught her how to “dog,” and it was so heart warming watching them spend their time together; whether it was snuggling together at their second home (A.PK9 Daycare and Training), or fighting over the same stick in the back area of where we all lived together.
Even coming from such a sad and unknown background, Sammy never had concerns brought up by the vet at check ups, and was a happy girl!
The weekend she died, I was going to see my parents in my hometown where I would normally bring the pups with me, but as they were having their house painted I was not able to for their safety. I entrusted Jessica of Kippen Cares to care for and watch over my loves. I dropped both of them off Friday morning, received pictures and updates throughout Friday and a few Saturday mornings, but then minimal contact until Sunday morning when I received a message from Jessica saying “Sam’s not right.” I immediately called Jessica to get more details. On the phone, she told me that Sammy was breathing really heavy and just not right. I packed my things and left my parents at that moment. Not even 15 minutes later, Jessica called me to tell me that Sammy had stopped breathing and had died. I was DEVASTATED! My girl had died, alone, and probably scared. I didn’t know how she felt, but I can’t imagine it was good. I cried the entire drive to see my Sammy.
I am very grateful to have had a wonderful boyfriend who gladly went and picked up Sammy’s body and took it to the vet, where she was confirmed dead. When I arrived, Sammy had been laid on the bed and covered in a blanket, with a white rose next to her. If it wasn’t the image of her dead, it might have been beautiful. I spent what felt like hours apologizing to her and promising her that I would make things up to her.
That brings us here, where she will be getting a necropsy. The necropsy will show the true cause of Sammy’s death, and hopefully can connect her death to Cartelo’s and show the true cause for Jessica and her awful treatment of all these creatures who have been in her care.
This money will help us bring closure to myself as well as Cartelo’s family, by aiding us all in proceeding with investigations with government agencies & possibly civil suit, postmortem(necropsy), cremation, legal fees for lawyer for investigation, any other expenses that come up. Our goal is to bring awareness but also get justice for Sammy and all the other pets and families that have fallen victim to Jess Kippens
