Help Bring Justin Home for Life-Saving Spinal Cord Care

My name is Stetson Holman, and I’m asking for your help to bring my brother, Justin, home.

While skiing in Switzerland, Justin suffered a catastrophic accident that shattered his C6 vertebra, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down and unable to move or control his hands and fingers. He underwent emergency neck fusion surgery, but his fight is far from over.

Despite the severity of his injury, Justin has received zero rehabilitation in the 10 days since his accident. His health insurance provider, UnitedHealthcare, has refused to cover any rehabilitation in Switzerland and is outright denying coverage for the medical transport he needs to get home for specialized spinal cord treatment.

Justin needs to get home as soon as possible to begin intensive spinal cord rehabilitation and specialized care at HCA HealthONE in Denver, CO. We have in-network spine specialists and one of the best rehab facilities ready to take him, but he is stranded in a hospital abroad without the treatment that could make all the difference in his recovery.

A medical flight is the only safe way to bring Justin home, but it comes at an enormous cost—one that insurance refuses to cover. Every day that passes without rehab is a day lost in his fight for recovery.
