Hello, I’m Yayra Agbofah, Founder and Creative Director of The Revival, a community-driven organization addressing global textile waste in Ghana. Working within Kantamanto, the world's largest secondhand market, The Revival empowers local youth and women to upcycle discarded clothing into valuable, sustainable products.

Following the devastating fire that destroyed much of the market, we have been at the forefront of relief efforts, providing immediate aid and support to those most affected.

Thanks to your incredible generosity during Phase 1 (Raised £5k), we were able to assist traders, Kayayei (female head porters), and migrant workers with food, water, shelter, and essential materials. Now, as we transition into Phase 2, our focus is on rebuilding lives and creating lasting resilience for the community.

How Your Contributions Will Help:

1. Community Aid: Continuing to provide food, water, building materials, and improved waste management systems with daily emptied bins.

2. Shelter Solutions: Providing temporary housing for those displaced by the fire.

3. Trader Support: Direct financial aid and stock replacement for 100 women traders, prioritizing elderly individuals and single mothers.

4. Education & Training: Offering vocational programs and stipends to young Kayayei and migrant workers, empowering them with new skills and opportunities.

4. Improved Infrastructure: Rebuilding fire-resistant structures to safeguard against future disasters.

5. Health & Safety: Establishing a temporary first aid center, equipping workers with protective gear, and purchasing 100 fire extinguishers and detectors.
