Our dear Kathleen Kaui Hatchie went for surgery in California, she passed two days before her scheduled appointment , she didn’t survive. Can you please help us get her home & celebrate her. Just to really understand her story better and get a better understanding I will continue with her story

Since she was young she had a heart condition and let me tell you she never took for granted any breaths god allowed her to breath.

Sadly 2018 creeped up and she ended up going to Castle hospital, the doctors diagnosed her with kidney disease.
Aunty Kakaz went in and out of hospital and started dialysis , her heart started having complications along side her kidney complications. She continued living her normal life, yet, is it really living with anxiety attacks, blacking out and can’t seem to catch your breath when you’re trying your very best to. She had to be talked to or held to bring her back to earth. Dialysis was overwhelming her with each passing day, it was getting harder to live and fight for another day. We still continued our gatherings every Sunday, once a week, until they stopped showing up. As strong as she was she has gotten weak to travel.

This year 2024 came along and a doctor advised them and her to get surgery, the biggest obstacle was it’s in California. A certain hospital that had the necessary equipment and surgeons , Oahu couldn’t provide. She was terrified and scared she didn’t want to go. Eventually it was decided it would be the best option for her and they made the appointment for her surgery in California. She was suppose to have 3 of them and her first surgery date was August, 12, 2024.

As usual she organized her loved ones for a get together August ,4th, 2024 on a Sunday and we all sent her off with lots of love, hope and hugs. Her and my Aunty Mada left for California the very next morning. They had to keep her in the ICU and no one could stay over night with her as the doctors and nurses prepared her for her surgery day. Saturday August , 10th 2024 came along early in the AM, over night , it was another fighting morning she had to pull through! Her lungs could not keep up with her heart and heart breakingly she did not live to see another day.

Now that she’s with our Heavenly Father our aunty Mada & Aunty Kat’s body is still in California. No one knew it was coming so sudden, we only had hopes she was coming home alive and in one piece.
Bringing her home is estimated $3,300 to fly aunty Kathleen Hatchie home to Oahu. Her cremation without viewing is estimated $1,900. Her medical bills will be due. She brought income in for the house she shared with her two sisters, Martha & Mercy. They stuck by their sisters side to the very end. Her sister she knew as mom, took off couple months from work to help her get through this tough journey Aunty Kat was going through. Bills and grieving is a tough situation , so I am asking that anyone who is willing to donate will be greatly appreciated till they get on their Feet again. Please open your hearts and help our family get through these difficult times and send her off and celebrate her life how she deserves to be, also known as a ( Funeral Service). Thank you for taking your time to read what an amazing and strong person our Aunty Kathleen Hatchie was. Everyone needs an Aunty like her once in their life. Forever yellow hearts
