Help bring Leon home and get him healthy

Leon has now been FOUND CAPTURED AND REUNITED! 

Thank you so much to EVERYONE who helped! All you amazing donors helped us so much with the search for Leon!! All the sightings, all the volunteers, all the folks who shared his info!! Thank you! Animals services phoned at 2:30pm and said they had a dog that fit his description! Miguel Cortines went to confirm and it was! We missed getting any further details from them but he is now on his way to the vet to get checked! No obvious wounds just very thin. 

New to the family and recently adopted from an abusive situation, Leon the pyrenees mix, has been on the run throughout Calgary since escaping his collar on March 10th. Leon is getting skinnier and more in need of vet care every day he is out there. Hiring a dog recovery expert has also been an unexpected but well put to use dent in our wallet. K9 recovery service will help us bring Leon home faster so he will be in need of less vet care. Myself (Jessica) and my husband Miguel have also had to take unexpected time off work and can only afford to look for this sweet boy for so long. Leon deserves to be brought home to a loving family and have his life turned around. Please help us do so.

Funds will be used for expenses incurred during the hunt for Leon as well as vet treatment after he has been captured. Those expenses may be food and treats to lure him, tools to catch him, the salary of our dog recovery expert, gas, poster-making supplies etc. The vet treatment afterward may be getting his stomach checked as he has been eating garbage. Possible treatments depending on what he has ingested, de-worming, possible medications like anti-biotics and weight gain treatment. We also would like to purchase a harness for when he is captured so that he does not slip out on a walk again as it turns out collars are unsuitable for his breed.

Any unused funds will be donated to AARCS. There are many animals purchased by unsuitable owners during the pandemic, like Leon, who are now overflowing shelters as people return to work.
