Help Bring Maurice McCarthy Home

This fundraiser is set up on behalf of the McCarthy family, for our beautiful, kind, fun-spirited Maurice who passed away unexpectedly on the 8th of April 2024 in Geraldine, New Zealand.

Maurice was a hugely popular character who was known & loved by so many in Ireland & abroad. Maurice made the move to New Zealand in October 2019 & to say he flourished there is an understatement. In his short 25 years, he touched so many lives & made so many journeys. It’s time now for his final journey back home to us in Mullinavat.

The funds are being donated to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, who have been an outstanding support in this devastating time. The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families by repatriating the bodies of loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland. We want to give them as much as possible so they can continue to help other families in our situation. We can’t express how grateful we are to Colin & the Bell family for helping to bring Maurice home to us.
