Help Bring Mia and Liam Home

Mia and Liam Tarabichi were abducted by their father to Beirut, Lebanon, in March 2018.
Their left-behind mother and stepdad, Shelley and Dean, have spent the last 10 months looking for and trying to get in touch with their children. Finally, after a difficult uphill battle dealing with the religious courts in Lebanon, Shelley was granted permission to travel to Lebanon to see her children.
The entire family – kids, mom and dad – are Canadian citizens and residents of Abbotsford. The father is Lebanese and this is how he was able to find refuge in that country and with the religious courts.
There is a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest. He is wanted on Interpol. The children are listed as Missing Persons on Interpol. Global Affairs Canada is involved. This is an international and complex case.
Lebanon is not signatory to the UN Hague Convention which would normally be the avenue to resolve and return the children to Canada. Shelley and Dean have spent a large sum of money both in the Canadian courts post-abduction and in Lebanon. There is no financial assistance from the government. One trip to Lebanon in itself is cost-heavy.
Please support the family as they continue to advocate for the return of their children to Canada, and as they facilitate contact with the children in Lebanon. To get involved, please join the Facebook Page: Bring Mia And Liam Home. For more case info, please see below:
