Get Ollie to Hawaii by Christmas!!

In July, our family moved to Hawaii, something we prayed about for over almost 2 years.

When we got ready to purchase our tickets, we went to purchase Ollie’s as well (our golden doodle - it would have been around $150 for him to fly at the same time as us) but we then found out he wouldn’t be allowed to fly at that time because there was an embargo in place - no animals could fly unless you were US military.

Once the embargo was dropped, we had to wait until temperatures lowered so it would be safe for him to fly.

Now that he would be flying alone, it will cost thousands to get him here. On top of that, our landlord is requiring a very steep pet deposit in order for us to have him in our home. (I understand - he’s been burned in the past by previous tenants with animals). It’s no secret that the cost of living in Hawaii is already outrageous and we were not prepared for the additional thousands in order to have him here with us.

We’ve been praying about this for months and it just doesn’t feel right to rehome him. Our kids have been eagerly awaiting his arrival since we got here and we haven’t been able to give them definitive answers all this time. But to tell them that we would have to find another home for him would crush them.

So… this is our last ditch effort to get Ollie to Hawaii. We would love to have him here by Christmas for the kids! We greatly appreciate any amount you feel led to contribute.
