Help Bring Patrick Home to Uganda

We are deeply saddened to share the tragic loss of Patrick Mwesigwa, affectionately known as Patu, who was taken from us too soon on the night of October 28th. Patrick was a beloved member of our community, a talented chef and a beacon of warmth and joy. His life was tragically cut short when he was struck by a speeding vehicle while crossing the street after one of his daily routine gym sessions.

Patrick was much more than a skilled chef. His kindness, resilience, and unwavering spirit touched all who knew him. Having journeyed from humble beginnings in Kyambogo, Banda, and Fort Portal, Uganda to establishing himself in New York City's bustling culinary scene, Patrick overcame countless challenges with an infectious smile and an unmatched dedication to his work and his friends.

Patrick leaves behind family in Uganda and a beloved daughter in the United Kingdom. As his friends and extended family here, we are rallying together to honor his memory. We are reaching out to our community to help raise the necessary funds to repatriate his remains, so he may rest in peace in his homeland, surrounded by those who loved him most.
