Help Bring Shane Pacey Back To The Stage

Dear Friends, Family, and Fellow Music Lovers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to support our fearless leader and beloved friend, Shane Pacey. For the past couple of years, Shane has been battling debilitating Osteoarthritis that has rapidly declined, leaving him unable to walk without a cane and making even simple tasks like climbing stairs a challenge.

As a passionate performer who has always said he would stop playing live if he had to sit down, it’s been heartbreaking to see him continue to perform from a seated position. Recently, Shane made the tough decision to cancel all gigs, stating simply, “it’s getting too hard.” This news has struck a chord with all of us who love the blues and appreciate the joy and soul he brings to the stage.

We believe it’s time to help Shane reclaim his life and his passion for music. A double hip replacement is the solution he needs, and he has an excellent surgeon ready to help. However, the costs associated with the surgery and the long recovery period—during which Shane won’t be able to work—are significant.

For over 40 years, Shane has given so much to Sydney’s music scene. Now, it’s our turn to give back. We’re calling on friends, fans, and everyone who has been touched by his music to come together and support this cause.
