Help Bring Tannia Home: A Legacy of Love

Donation protected
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved friend, Tannia Galdamez, as of June 8th, 2024.

Tannia possessed a heart and soul like no other, the kind you only come across once in a lifetime. Her humor, kindness, protectiveness over those she loved and unwavering support for anyone around her, has molded the legacy that she now leaves behind, along with core memories that she so effortlessly has imprinted on all of us. Anyone who had the blessing of meeting Tannia, will tell you a story about a time that she made them laugh, helped them during a tough time in their lives, or simply graced their lives with her very presence, she was an unforgettable soul. Our beloved was filled to the brim with an unmeasurable amount of love to offer, and was constantly a ray of sunshine in any space she occupied. Tannia was accepting of all people, it did not matter the walk of life they had that brought them to her; She loved everyone and she made it her personal mission to let it be known to you, naturally, it was just who she was, through and through. Her absence from this earth is one that will be felt for a lifetime, until we are reunited with her in God's greatest heaven, where I know whole heartedly she is enjoying an iced coffee, dancing her heart out, and watching over her baby boy whom she loved immensely, Mateo.

Tannia was a sister, a daughter, a cousin, a tremendous friend, but above all, she was a mother. She leaves behind a two and a half year old baby boy, who will now call upon the support of his family and us, his community, to help keep his mother's legacy and memory alive. It is our duty, now, to return the love Tannia so effortlessly gave to the world, to her son Mateo, who will never get to know the amazing, charismatic and resilient woman we were all so fortunate to have known, that his mother was.

I look to this community now, to reflect on the way our dearly beloved Tannia touched their lives, and look to your capacity to give in order to assist her family with transportation and funeral costs, as she needs to be brought back home to us, as she was met with the unfortunate fate of passing in the country she took so much pride in being from, Honduras. It goes without saying that this financial strain is one we cannot possibly leave solely in the laps of her family. Tannia was our family, and we were hers.

Lets bring her home, where she can rest easily knowing she will forever be surrounded by those who loved her.

Thank you all, kindly.
