Urgent $10,000 Fundraiser to Send Tharindu's Body to Sri Lanka

Dear friends and community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of our beloved friend, Tharindu, who left us yesterday in Staten Island, NY, at just 29 years old. Tharindu Perera was a kind soul, a cherished member of our community, and someone who touched the lives of all who knew him.

As we grieve this sudden loss, we are also faced with the challenge of fulfilling Tharindu’s family’s wish to bring him back to Sri Lanka for his final rites. To make this possible, we are reaching out for your support to cover the expenses of repatriation and funeral arrangements, which are considerable.
