Help Bring the GC Un-Official Cast to Life!

Hello! My name is Sierra 'zhobiii ' Frisbee, and I am a Valorant Game Changers broadcast talent and fan. I've been following the scene back since the C9W days, and it's been a bumpy road for the scene to say the least. This scene, however, is what got me into casting almost two years ago now with a marginalized gender collegiate event called Crescent Cup. When I saw the removal of funding for Open Qualifier Casts between last year and this year, I didn't want to stand by and do nothing. I wanted to give back to the scene that has inspired me to pursue Esports production time and time again. Thus, the GC Un-Official Cast was born.

The GC Un-Official cast covered the last two days of every Open Qualifier for Game Changers North America Series 2 and Open Qualifier #2 from Series 1. This was April 5th-6th, April 26th-27th, and May 24th-25th. It was streamed on twitch.tv/zhobiii, and that's where we hope to breathe new life into this project with all the calls for support of the scene right now. Up until now, behind the scenes it's pretty much been just me (alongside some admin help from Raidiant): the social graphics, caster and stream scheduling, and production-related resources. That alongside the INCREDIBLY talented VOLUNTEER talent has kept us afloat. While casted Open Qualifiers won't resolve the NA GC Scene crisis - getting the word out there about them more is a great start, and it deserves a well-done production to back it up - where production talent is getting paid for their hard work, dedication, and passion for the scene. The players deserve to get that visibility on broadcasts no matter what stage they are in their competitive journey because with the right support who know what no-name GC Player could be the flor or meL or tomorrow with the right support or discovery.

I understand that I am an individual, not an organization taking this project on, but I have the experience to do it. To aid in the trust as well to where the donated funds are going to, I will be as fully transparent as possible when it comes to where each and every donated dollar goes to. I will publish the Expenses by category in a report after each Open Qualifier, so the community can see WHY it take so much for these productions to get done and so that you as a donator know where the money went.

At minimum, $4200 is required to make a decent broadcast. If we do not meet that goal, I will default to the percentage allocations to all staff and production talent that help out during Series 3 as set forth in the Full Budget. We were Volunteer only in Series 1 and 2, and we are prepared to do it again if needed and as ALWAYS to uplift this scene and the players. $6,800 is a safe middle ground amount for the production, and $12,550 is the rainy day or MOONSHOT amount that could allow us to pull out all the stops for some of the best individuals in the industry. Hence where we have settled on the goal of $10,000 dollars. This is for 6 broadcast days (last two days of each event) for all three Open Qualifiers of Series 3 right now on the following dates: July 26th-27th, September 6th-7th, and October 4th-5th. If we blow the goal out of the water, we can consider expanding this as well to include the first two days of each Open Qualifier (a total of 12 Broadcast days).

This campaign will run all through Series 3 with me aligning to the predicted budget I have set forth. If towards the tail end, we get more donations, I will ensure those who worked the earlier qualifiers will benefit from it as well.

This is the call to action. I and many individuals in the scene have asked 'What are you doing to support the GC Scene?' Share this campaign; donate to it if your life circumstances allow. Engagement is free. I wasn't planning initially on going all out like this, but as soon as my post went live, I had 2 people already reaching out asking how to donate. Small actions like that get the ball rolling and can help show the importance this scene has to so many.

For the first month of the Campaign, we will be doing a Twitch-Based Fundraising Campaign where streamers can unite under the GC Un-Official Cast Banner, bring light to it on their streams, and have their streams also spotlighted on GC Un-Official Cast Socials and Broadcast.
