Hi, my name is Sharone Perlman and I'm fundraising for The Highgate Manor. It has a vibrant, well-known history in Highgate, Vermont and the surrounding areas going back 205 years! Over the years, it has been a memorable location for weddings, graduation celebrations and High School dances, among many other exciting events! While its' prior owners can be credited with rescuing the property and bringing the home itself back to life, the ballroom and grounds have been dormant for more than a decade. It is our dream, which is shared by many in the local community, to bring The Highgate Manor back to being a cherished asset to the community. We are asking for your support to help us complete the necessary restoration efforts to make this dream come true!
Anticipated costs include:
- Landscaping, garden restoration, tree stump removal, grading, pathways: $10,000
- Exterior painting, repairs (labor and materials): $10,000
- Heating and cooling system for ballroom: $15,000
- Restore sink, plumbing to bar inside ballroom (labor and materials): $5,000
- Remodeling interior walls, beams in the ballroom (labor and materials): $5,000
- Refinish ballroom wood flooring: $16,000
- Restoration of Chandelier and updating accessory fixtures: $5,000
- Updating electrical inside the ballroom: $10,000
- Installation of AV system: $5,000
