Help bring "The Santa Cause" to Life

"The Santa Cause" is a supportive weekly video series for children, parents and the community dealing with contemporary family issues and values.
"The Santa Cause" is a WeUs production in connection with Wisconsin Rapids Community Media.
We believe that nothing means more than family and in doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do.
"The Santa Cause" needs your help through financial donations to help us get this wonderful series up and running. Our initial goal for our first stage of programming is $15,000.
"The Santa Cause" was inspired by the multitude of requests made each holiday season for the spirit of the holidays to be able to continue the whole year through. Santa, wanting to do everything within his power to make these requests come true, has volunteered along with the Mrs. and his lead elf, Num Num, to host the show from the No Po (North Pole). After all these years, Santa has decided it's time to share his valuable wisdom and insights with the children and families of the world. Each episode will run for about 25-30 minutes with a variety of stories, songs, crafts, puppets and occasional field trips and guest appearances.
The overall purpose of "The Santa Cause" is to reinforce family and community values such as respect, honesty, integrity, kindness, compassion and so on, with a focus on the importance of family responsibility and of doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. We believe that family and community structures are the core foundational strengths of our society. We also believe that the spirit of the holidays that we would like to see continue all year round, comes mostly, if not directly from the relationships within our families.
"The Santa Cause" is more than just a children's show. It is a much-needed educational tool which embraces family and community dynamics that must be returned to the forefront of our everyday lives or else we risk losing them altogether. Since the passing of Mr. Fred Rogers and his wonderful PBS show, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, nearly 20 years ago, there has been an empty void in the area of children's programming that sorely needs to be filled. Though no one could ever fill Mr. Roger's shoes, Santa is offering to give it a go.
"The Santa Cause" has recently partnered up with Wisconsin Rapids Community Media who will provide a team to help video and edit the series as well as provide a location for staging and videoing of the show. Each episode will be aired on local media as well as posted to Youtube, Facebook and other appropriate social media platforms.
So why does "The Santa Cause" need your financial support? First off, everything we do with "The Santa Cause", we try to offer free of charge to the families of our community from our videos, pictures with Santa, and even guest appearances from Santa for special events. It's amazing how expensive something for free can be. From costuming, building sets, writing scripts and songs, training, videoing, puppets, appearances and travel expenses, it all adds up. On top of that, Santa and his family are attempting to promote "The Santa Cause" full time. This means, at least for now, at the beginning, they will need your support to keep the lights on and for basic needs such as food and household expenses. Santa would go out and find work to offset some of the expenses and indeed, he has done just that, but now "The Santa Cause" has grown to the point where it needs full time attention. This is why during this crucial beginning stage, we are asking for your help.
Over time, "The Santa Cause" will grow and become more self-sufficient and will become a for-profit entity attracting more permanent sponsors. We do not now or ever will have plans to file for a non-profit status. We believe that a non-profit status would create too many limitations and attach too many strings to the purpose of "The Santa Cause". Instead, we believe "The Santa Cause" should become a prime example of what a community business should be. We want to eventually make our own way and then share that prosperity within our local community and beyond.
To make "The Santa Cause" happen, at first, we will need the gifts and generosity of our friends, family and community to get us started. Then, as we become more established and self-sufficient, we will be able to give back and help others within our family and community to begin and further their own hopes and journeys. It becomes a contagious cycle of giving, caring, sharing and kindness which allows us to keep the spirit of "The Santa Cause" alive all year round and fulfill all of those requests made to Santa.
Thank you so very much for your time and if you find you believe in "The Santa Cause" as much as we do, please consider a donation.
Thank you again, Santa.
