Help Bring a Holographic Dream play to Life!

Hi Dreamers! My name is Nathaniel Wilson, and I'm an independent Gen Z storyteller, world traveler, entrepreneur, and artist who uses the mediums of playwriting, technology, performance, and fashion to facilitate the expansion of the collective experience of art.

What is It's No Ordinary Thing?

It's No Ordinary Thing* is unlike anything you've ever experienced. It's the world's first one-man, non-narrative, autoethnographic, immersive stageplay using 3D holographic projections to recreate sleeping dreams on stage.

The Key Elements That Make It's No Ordinary Thing Unique are:

Non-Narrative: This format breaks away from the idea that life and art must follow a linear path. Life is messy and non-linear, and so is this play—leaving room for interpretation, reflection, and personal connection.

Autoethnographic: The play is deeply personal yet universal, connecting my own experiences to broader cultural and global experiences. It reminds us that though we are individuals, we carry the stories of our ancestors and the collective knowledge of humanity.

One-Man Show: I wrote a one-man play because my story is uniquely mine to tell, and only I have the right to share it. In sharing my story, I also honor the voices of those who came before me and pave the way for those yet to come.

3D Holographic Projections: 3D holographic projections are a tool for bringing to life the dream realm on stage. Furthermore, 3D holographic projections are a prompt for expansion beyond the limits of our collectively limited imaginations. A dear friend said it best, "Using 3D holographic projections is essential right now because we collectively need to have deeper conversations about art, technology, and human development rather than reductionistic or fear-based/scarcity-based emotional reactions."

Such a play has never been done before. While there has only been one full-length 3D holographic play, it was pre-recorded, non-immersive, and not interactive. It's No Ordinary Thing is the first play of its kind!
