You’re familiar with the aftermath of Romeo & Juliet, yes?

(Oh. You know the happy ending.)

In this world, the house of Montague has fallen with Romeo nowhere to be found.

Juliet may have wept for him once. Perhaps she does still, as she finds herself as the wife of Paris.

With the new crowned King of Verona trying to navigate “peace,” he decides to bring back Romeo as a show of good faith.

But the rats of Verona remember the fallen. They remember the potions and friars and balconies. And most of all, they remember the secrets of Juliet.
