Help Bring Veteran Doug Brewer Home

My name is Linda Pickett. I’m raising funds to help my daughter-in-law bring her father home (Hamilton, Ohio) from Cleveland Clinic. Doug Brewer, a veteran of the United States Army, was transported to Cleveland Clinic in January for a life-saving surgery that only the doctors there could perform. Unfortunately, complications occurred, and 11 weeks later, doctors have stated there is nothing more they can do, and Doug is being placed in hospice care. My daughter-in-law is his only child and has exhausted all her financial resources to be with him as much as possible. She lost her mother 25 years ago, and her father is all she has. He wants to come home so that he doesn’t die alone. Cost to medically transfer him home is $5,600. When his battle is over, she has a quote of $8,300 for his funeral. She is a young wife and mother and can’t do this alone. She would greatly appreciate any help to see that her father’s dying wishes are granted. Thank you for considering his wishes.

Doug is currently being transported as I type this. His daughter was able to apply for an interest free (12 mths) credit card and was given a discounted rate. She was charged 3,989.00 to bring him home. She is extremely grateful for the support she has been shown and asks for those that can to share her need and to keep her in your prayers.
