Help Bring Yiddishkayt Back to Poland

Help Cindy Paley bring Yiddishkayt back to Poland!

For the past two years, Cindy has joined forces with Jewish Renewal in Poland to bring her decades of experience as a performer and cantorial soloist to young Poles who have been deprived of Yiddishkayt and who hunger to experience it.

Check out this video to see clips from the 2017 tour which included workshops and concerts in Warsaw, Lublin, Gdansk, Krakow, and Zielono Goro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lK6Q8Qgz80E

Cindy Paley is returning to Poland on June 19. There she will perform Yiddish songs with a Polish Klezmer band as well as a solo concert of Jewish folk music in Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino. Cindy will also facilitate workshops about Yiddish music at the Krakow Jewish Culture Festival and teach liturgical songs with Beit Polska in Warsaw.

Cindy doesn’t receive any compensation for her teaching and performances. Travel expenses for her previous concert tours in 2017 and 2018 were supported by Friends of Jewish Renewal in Poland and self-funded, but this year there isn’t enough funding available to pay the local band and cover travel expenses.

We are turning to our community members to help us raise $4000!

Your contribution will ensure that Yiddish music continues to live on in Poland!
