Help Britt & Anthony have a baby
“When Anthony and I got married two years ago, we knew we wanted to quickly become parents. We love kids and for as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a mom. When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I didn’t have a career in mind, I just knew I wanted to be a mom.
I have spent many years working at kids camps and babysitting my niece and nephew and friend’s kids, looking forward to a day when I would have babies of my own.
After trying for a few months to get pregnant last year, I ended up in the ER multiple times with pain. A 15cm endometrioma was found on my ovary and after months of testing and waiting, I was referred to a fertility specialist for surgery.
Surgery diagnosed my endometriosis and helped my pain, but has not helped us to get pregnant. I am 30 years old and have been diagnosed with stage 4 Endometriosis.
Yes, I am young, but we were told by our fertility specialist that it’s a good thing we are doing this now since my ovaries are not as good as they should be for someone my age. We have tried IUI, but unfortunately it did not work. IVF is going to be our best bet for a baby.
Endometriosis doesn’t care how badly you want kids. It doesn’t care that I’ve dreamed of having children of my own for my whole life. It doesn’t care that I have changed my diet, increased my exercise, tried acupuncture, seen a naturopath, etc to help me get pregnant. And it certainly doesn’t care that we will struggle to afford this. IVF is a minimum of $15,000 plus flights, accommodations, over two weeks off work, and other expenses that may come up.”
Let’s help Anthony & Brittany get closer to fulfilling their dream of becoming parents
