Help Brittany and Alyssa After Mother’s Passing

Brittany Wilson is a professional soccer player in the NWSL. While in Florida, she got the news Thursday March 18th that her mother Dawn (age 56) passed away in Castle Rock, CO. Dawn leaves behind Brittany and her sister Alyssa. Alyssa (age 20) is currently a junior at the University of Colorado Boulder. Dawn was helping to pay Alyssa’s college tuition. Brittany rushed home to be with her family in this tough time. They’re currently figuring out funeral costs, and many out of pocket expenses such as hiring a probate attorney as Dawn had no will. Because probate can last for years, the girls will be left with covering all of the out of pocket cost while mourning the passing of their mother. The average out-of-pocket expenditure for end-of-life necessities is $11,618, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Any help would be an absolute blessing and we are so grateful for anyone who has it on their heart to give to Brittany and Alyssa to make this time a little less painful so they can focus on celebrating Dawn’s life.
