Brittany’s heart transplant funding!

Brittany was a Student at OU studying to get her masters degree in social work & human development. What steered her in this career path was the love she had for children and of course her 10 year cerebral palsy brother. Following in the footsteps of her iron hearted mother, Brittany had a huge heart and helped in numerous community food banks to give back. Though her heart had a lot of love to give. She only had enough to give it to her first born, 8.9 lbs baby Makaio Wesley Tran. Naming him after her father who fatally died of heart failure when she was only 6. This family history of heart failure later haunted Brittany after her 28 hours of labor in which doctors said, “She wasn’t suppose to survive.” With the left side of her heart operating at 25% she continued to fight until the tragic moment she suffered a brain stroke that crippled her learning abilities to finish her masters. Brittany was separated from her newborn baby just 24 hours after labor due to multiple complications such as pneumonia, heart failure and now sits on the 4th floor of neurology hoping to fight past the trauma it’s done to her brain, unable to move the right side of her body nor can she form a simple complete sentence. We’ve heard the saying, bad things happen to good people, but if she can rise from this with the help of giving people across the country. She will be able to continue her journey in being the heaven sent angel that inspires and helps those like her.
